CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Attorneys representing the first Northwestern football player to sue the university over hazing allegations said they will file a second lawsuit today on behalf of another anonymous former player.

Attorney Parker Stinar, who represented abuse victims of former Michigan State doctor Larry Nasser, said at this morning’s press conference they have learned from talking with Northwestern athletes about abuse, hazing and bad behavior in baseball, softball, volleyball and cheerleading as well.

“This is an institution that failed their students and failed their student athletes. This isn’t just a matter of football players against their coach or against their program,” Stinar said.

Attorney Pat Salvi II said they want to see the investigation done by an outside law firm that initially led to a two-week suspension of Coach Pat Fitzgerald.

“What we’ll be looking into certainly is the relationship between the law firm and  the general counsel's office at Northwestern, the various edits that may have gone into any investigation that was presented,” Salvi said.

Lawyers said today they’re filing a second suit echoing sex abuse and hazing allegations from another football player.
