
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A student carrying a pellet gun caused a lockdown at Barrington High School Friday morning, and the minor was taken into custody.
Students reported seeing the student carrying a gun in a bathroom just before the school day began. The building was placed on immediate lockdown.
The Barrington police school resource officer found the student carrying a pellet gun underneath their clothing; the student was taken into police custody.
Classes resumed, and officials say there was no longer a threat at the school.
