CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Police are offering new information about a suspect wanted for the murder of a Yale University student from the Chicago area.
On Wednesday, police in New Haven, Connecticut said they were looking to locate 29-year-old Qinxuan Pan.
He’s been named a person of interest in the murder of Yale University student and Chicago native Kevin Jiang, who was shot and killed in New Haven over the weekend.
U.S. Marshals said Pan may be in Georgia staying with family or friends.
He’s described as a 6-foot tall Asian man, weighing about 170 pounds with a medium complexion and short black hair.

According to CBS Hartford, U.S. Marshals said Thursday that Pan was last seen in the early morning hours on Feb. 11 driving with family members through a suburb of Atlanta.
Kevin Jiang was fatally shot last Saturday while he was driving in New Haven, Connecticut, where Yale University is located. He had just become engaged a week before.
Jiang had gone to elementary school in Chicago’s Chinatown neighborhood and went to high school in Park Ridge.
New Haven, Connecticut police said Pan had been in New Haven last Saturday night when the shooting occurred.
Qinxuan Pan is a researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It is reported that Jiang's new fiancé is a former student at MIT.
Law enforcement officials have said Pan should be considered armed and dangerous.
