
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Music megastar Taylor Swift will be in town this weekend, as you might have heard once or twice. Beginning tonight, she will perform for three straight days at Soldier Field. Every concert is sold out and crowds exceeding 50,000 are expected each night.
The Museum Campus will no doubt be bustling. Whether your “Swiftie” or not, WBBM is here to help you navigate through the mass of humanity.
Here is what you need to know :
Times (schedule the same for all three days)
-12:00 p.m. - Merchandise sales open outside Solider Field. There are four locations.
-2:00 p.m. - Soldier Field parking lots open
-4:30 p.m. - Gates open
-6:30 p.m. - Opening acts begin. Friday and Saturday, it will be OWENN and Girl in Red. Sunday will be Gracie Adams and Muna Sun.
-8:00 p.m. appx.- Taylor Swift will take the stage and perform for at least three hours
Parking
-All Soldier Field parking lots are already sold out from pre-purchase.
-Additional parking available at:
McCormick Place: Lot A – 2301 S. Prairie Ave.
Lot B – 3050 S. Drive
Lot C – Fort Dearborn Drive
**All lots accessible from 31st St. until they are full.
- Millennium Park Garages: Grant Park North – 25 N. North Michigan Ave.
Grant Park South – 325 S. Michigan Ave.
Millennium Park Garage – 5 S. Columbus Drive
-Millennium Lakeside – 5 S. Columbus Drive
Shuttles
-Millennium Park Garages will offer shuttle service to and from the Soldier Field, beginning at 4 p.m. and until 1 a.m.
-Concert goers can pick up the shuttle at the Millennium Park Garage, on Lower Randolph (take garage elevator to level 2.5). Shuttle will also pick at Metra 18th stairs.
-There will be no shuttle service at Grant Park North, Grant Park South or Millennium Lakeside garages.
Public Transportation
-Fans are strongly encouraged to take public transportation.
-Closest CTA train station: Roosevelt (22 E Roosevelt Rd.), can take CTA Orange, Red, and Green Lines. CTA Red Line will have additional service.
-CTA will provide additional buses for 130 and 146 Lines.
-Metra will be operating on a normal schedule, however may have additional cars
Tailgating
-Fans who do not have a ticket are strongly discouraged to come to the Soldier Field Campus, the Chicago Office of Emergency Management says. They reason that no one from the outside will be able to see or hear anything clearly.
Drop-off/Pickup
-Concert goers can be dropped at the 18th Drive Turnaround (just west of the Lake Shore Drive 18th Exit ramp).
-Due to heavy traffic, Columbus Drive and Michigan Ave. are suggested alternative drop-off locations.
-Concert goers can be picked up by their parent/guardian or rideshare at Grant Park, on Columbus Drive (between Roosevelt and Balbo).
-Pick up vehicles cannot arrive on Columbus (Balbo and northward) until 10:30 p.m.
-Drivers can park at alphabetical signage markers to make it easier for their pickups to find them.

Bikes
-Bike parking is available near the stadium.
-Divvy bikes, a limited supply, are available at the Divvy stand at the north end of the Soldier Field.
Policies
-All normal Soldier Field stadium policies apply, including the NFL All-Clear Bag Policy (Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12) and prohibited items list (purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, diaper bags, cinch bags, non-approved seat cushions).
-Fans can bring posters into the stadium but they cannot be larger than 24"x24".
Weather
-Dry, mild weather for each day. Temperatures will be in the mid to low 70s along the Lakefront.
