Teen boy charged for three armed carjackings

COUNTRY CLUB HILLS, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A 15-year-old boy is charged with committing three armed carjackings in a span of about two and a half hours last fall.

According to police, the boy was one of the offenders who took multiple vehicles at gunpoint on the morning of October 6.

The incidents occurred between 5:45 and 8:20 a.m. near 73rd and Rockwell, 83rd and Stony Island and 87th and Wentworth.

The victims in the three separate incidents were a 34-year-old male, a 67-year-old male, and a 29-year-old female. None of the victims were injured.

Police said the teen, who’s not identified because of his age, was arrested by members of the Vehicular Hijacking Task Force in Country Club Hills.
