(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – Three Chicago firefighters were injured Friday afternoon as they fought a fire on the city’s far Northwest Side, officials said.
The “mayday” alert was called for a fire at 8336 Balmoral, the Chicago Fire Department tweeted. Three firefighters – one in critical, two in fair condition – were transported to the hospital.
Two of the firefighters were inside the structure when the emergency occurred, officials said.
