Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) revealed Thursday night that former President Donald Trump intends to announce his 2024 presidential campaign “any day now,” according to an online web-show reporter covering a GOP event.
Jordan’s disclosure came at the “Third Annual Party Like a Patriot” event in Iowa sponsored by the Dallas County, Iowa GOP.

“Trump will travel here imminently,” Lauren Windsor tweeting, citing an announcement from an unnamed “GOP operative” from Iowa. The alleged travel plans suggest the former president could announce his run in the all-important caucus state.
The Republican Party chapter sold tickets ranging from $75 to $150 to attend the “party.” Jordan’s picture appeared on the flier for the event, which organizers claimed had sold out.
Trump — who claimed the 2020 election was rigged despite losing by more than 7 million votes — reportedly told confidants he expected to be “reinstated” as president by August. Intelligence officials have warned of the potential for domestic extremism from supporters angered that nothing has happened.
