(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Bond has been set for two Chicago women accused of stealing more than $1,400 worth of merchandise from an Oak Brook store.

Destiny Jackson, 25 and Alexis Glenn, 30 appeared in DuPage County Court where the judge set bond at $20,000 for Jackson and $10,000 for Glenn.

They're charged with going into the Oak Brook Nordstrom Rack store on 22nd street Wednesday just before 2 p.m. and walking out about three minutes later, as authorities say, carrying shopping bags filled with about $1,471 worth of fragrances they didn't pay for.

Both women are charged with burglary and retail theft. Jackson was hit with an additional felony charge of aggravated battery to a police officer for allegedly biting one of the officers during a brief struggle.

“The allegations that these two women drove to the Nordstrom Rack store and left their car running in the parking lot while they helped themselves to more than $1,400 worth of merchandise and simply walked out without paying, are shocking,” DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said in a statement.

“Even more disturbing is the allegation that Jackson bit an officer, breaking his skin, as she was being arrested.
