Two people killed in crash on Northwest Side

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Two people were killed in an accident on Chicago’s Northwest Side around 5 a.m. Sunday.

Police say a 29-year-old man was driving westbound on Irving Park Road on Chicago's Northwest Side near River Road when he struck a black SUV with three women in the car.

Police say a 30-year-old woman and a 56-year-old were taken to local hospitals where they were pronounced dead.

A third woman, 23, was taken in fair condition. The 29-year-old man is also in fair condition, according to police.

There was a third vehicle involved, that driver walked away without injury. Area five detectives are investigating.
