(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- As the fighting continues in Ukraine, and world leaders discuss next steps, the war has once again been felt here in Chicago.
Lydia Tkaczuk, president of the Ukrainian National Museum on the 2200 block of West Superior, said at least seven buildings in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood, including the museum, were defaced with the Russian symbol "Z.”
The letter is seen as a symbol promoting Russian aggression in Ukraine.
Tkaczuk speculated that the vandal might have been paid to do it and said Ukrainians will not be intimidated.
Chicago Police have been notified.
