(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicagoans and some suburbanites just finished with one election. Now, the clock starts for the next one on April 4.
Applications are now being taken for people who want to vote by mail in the upcoming April 4 municipal election if they haven’t already signed up for permanent vote-by-mail.
Widespread early voting in-person begins March 20-just 12 days away in Chicago and suburbs. In Chicago, voters can request their mail-in ballots in one of seven languages: English, Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Polish, Korean and Tagalog.
Mail-in ballots are expected to start being sent to voters in the city on March 17.
