(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A wanted Ohio man was arrested in Indiana Friday after he tried to drive off a tow truck while resisting arrest.

Indiana State Police said while investigating a single-vehicle crash on southbound I-65 near Rensselaer, a trooper determined the driver was lying about his identity.

The driver allegedly ran across I-65 to avoid arrest, nearly causing several crashes in the bad weather, before running back across the Interstate to his car and trying to drive it off the tow truck.

The man, later identified a 52-year-old Carlos Sept from Dayton, Ohio, faces felony charges for possession of a controlled substance and intimidation. He also faces the following misdemeanor charges: false identity statement, resisting law enforcement, and possession of marijuana.

He is also wanted on a probation violation in Ohio.
