CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Six people, including a pregnant woman and a West Chicago firefighter, were injured in a fire early Thursday morning at an apartment complex in West Chicago.
The fire broke out at about 1 a.m. in a three-story complex on 813 Burr Oaks Drive.
West Chicago Fire Chief Patrick Tanner said some residents were out on their balconies when firefighters arrived.
Some people jumped to escape the flames, including . Others were rescued by firefighters.
There is significant damage to the building, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
