
WESTMONT, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A manager of a west suburban senior living facility has been acquitted of the most serious charges involved in the death of one of the facility’s residents.
A DuPage County judge has acquitted Navdeep Dhall of neglect of a resident-in the death of 96-year old Regina Adamik in the winter of 2021. Adamik had had an apartment at Cordia Senior Residence in Westmont.
According to the Daily Herald, Adamik was found dead on the floor of a van that had taken her to a medical appointment. She had spent the entire night inside the van when outside temperatures got down to 18-degrees.
Dhall still faces less serious charges and the van’s driver, Bert Mongreig, who remains charged with neglect causing death.
