(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – The Chicago White Sox are bringing back SoxFest next year, after a long hiatus.
The last SoxFest came in 2020, before the pandemic took hold. Two seasons' worth were canceled for health reasons, and then two more were canceled for what the team characterized as "several factors."
But SoxFest 2025 is now on the schedule, for the weekend of Jan. 24-25, with a location yet to be determined. Activities will include a 20-year celebration of the World Series won by the South Siders. The team will also be marking the organization's 125th anniversary.
The announcement Friday came as the White Sox held a season-ticket-holders-only event at the Field Museum.
