MADISON, Wis. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Wisconsin Republican lawmakers called a hearing on Friday to address potential voter fraud in the November election but the state’s Democrats called it “a sham.”

Republican lawmakers were at the Wisconsin state Capitol attending the meeting in-person while Democrats attended remotely.

The first witness the Republicans called is a conservative radio talk show host.

That came as a surprise to Democratic state Rep. Lisa Subek.

“I would have thought that we would’ve been hearing from someone like Megan Wolf,” Subek said.

Megan Wolf is the state’s chief elections official.

The talk show host, Dan O’Donnell of News/ Talk 1130 WISN in Milwaukee, answered, saying people have told him a lot anonymously.

“I found more vote fraud than Megan Wolf because I was actually looking,” O’Donnell said.

Subek interrupted, saying she was “flabbergasted” by how the hearing was being run.

“There was fraud. It’s always a question of how much fraud,” Republican state Sen. Duey Stroebel said.

Republican state Sen. Kathy Bernier said, “And I am making sure that we do follow through and find out what’s fact and what is fiction.”

Dean Knudson, a Republican commissioner on the Wisconsin Elections Commission, said, “I have not seen credible evidence of large scale voter fraud.”

Most of the Democrats, CBS 58 Milwaukee reported, left in the middle of the hearing that they called “disgraceful” and “a sham.”
