CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A woman is recovering from critical injuries suffered during a downtown attack on Monday.
Police said they responded near the Burberry store on Michigan Avenue near Ontario at around 2 p.m. after 52-year-old Bruce Diamond allegedly threw a "large object" at the woman's head.
Diamond was arrested and charged with aggravated battery causing great bodily harm.
The woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Police say she was initially reported in critical condition.
