A woman was in critical condition after being struck by a driver early Monday in Lawndale on the West Side.

The woman, 28, was struck by a white SUV around 1:45 a.m. while standing on the street in the 4700 block of West Arthington Street, Chicago police said.
The driver of the SUV continued without stopping.
Paramedics took the woman to Stroger Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition, police said.
Later that morning, two women were seriously hurt after a one-car crash in River North.
