CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago Police are looking for the people who shot a young woman in the eye with a paintball on the Southwest Side, possibly taking her vision.
Vicky Murillo was out with friends on Halloween night when someone shot them from a car with paintballs, according to her brother Adrean.
He told CBS News Chicago she was hit in the body and eye.
“She had emergency surgery because she had an eye globe rupture,” Murillo said. “At the moment, she doesn’t have any vision.”
He found videos shared online of a group shooting paintballs from a car at random people, including in Cicero and North Riverside that may be the same crew.
Murillo’s family started a GoFundMe to pay for her medical bills, including a surgery that’s slated for Friday.
