(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – An employee at an Illinois Department of Transportation depot was fatally injured Tuesday after becoming pinned between two pieces of large equipment, authorities said.
The Kendall County’s Sheriff’s Office arrived around 10:30 a.m. at the IDOT facility on Route 47 for a report of an industrial accident.
Staff had tried to revive the employee who was crushed, to no avail, officials said.
Detectives are conducting an investigation, but foul play was not suspected, the sheriff’s office said.
