Staffing expert believes working from home will become part of post-pandemic new normal

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) – Working from home has gone from pandemic necessity to office perk and seems to be here to stay.

"I don't think we'll ever go back probably at least in the near future to a five days a week setting," surmised Michelle Riesdorf with the Robert Half company in Chicago.

Riesdorf told the WBBM Noon Business Hour that working from home went from a public health safety measure to a means of attracting and retaining talent.

She said more and more people will return to the office over time but it will be a gradual process.

"I do think more and more people will find themselves, you know, eventually in office. I still don't know that it'll be five days a week, but you know, I think it'll be definitely closer to the two or three than nothing at all,” Riesdorf said.
