Family, friends, and colleagues gathered Wednesday in Atlanta to remember the victims of what police say was a double-murder suicide.
The funeral was held at Cascade United Methodist Church for 58 year old Marsha Edwards, and her children, 24 year old Chris and 20 year old Erin.
A week ago, Marsha Edwards is believed to have taken the lives of her two children, and then to have turned the gun on herself. The bodies were found in the mother's Vinings townhome.
Police say they'd gone to the home for a welfare check. They'd been alerted by Marsha Edwards' ex-husband, Dr. Christopher Edwards, an Atlanta neurosurgeon. Dr. Edwards serves on various boards in Atlanta, including the city's Housing Authority Board, and the Morehouse School of Medicine Board of Trustees.
