WalletHub compared 100 of the largest metro areas across 41 different categories, including airfare costs, attractions, nightlife, local expenses, weather, safety and activities to determine which cities give travelers the best value during the summer months. (LiveNOW)
The Atlanta metro area stood out thanks to its affordable and accessible flights, diverse entertainment options and wide variety of attractions for visitors and locals alike. The report highlighted Atlanta’s shopping centers, restaurants, amusement attractions, spas, swimming pools and nightlife scene as major reasons why travelers continue flocking to the city during the summer. WalletHub also noted that flights into Atlanta from major cities often don’t require connections, helping make travel easier and more affordable for vacationers.
Other cities ranking high on the list included Orlando, Austin, Miami and Washington D.C.
So whether you’re planning a staycation, hitting the BeltLine, checking out a concert, grabbing food on Buford Highway or showing visitors around the city, Atlanta is apparently the place to be this summer.
