The 89th annual Dogwood Festival is back THIS April

The Atlanta Dogwood Festival is back for its 89th year, April 11th through the 13th at Piedmont Park.

The Atlanta Dogwood Festival is back for its 89th year, April 11th through the 13th at Piedmont Park. Watch as Piedmont Park comes alive with fine art, live music, Mimosa 5k run, international performances and more. For more information, to donate or purchase tickets visit dogwood.org

The first festival happened April 19th, 1936 and the Original President for the Atlanta Dogwood Festival, Walter Rich, who was also the founder of Rich's Department Store had a vision to make Atlanta known for our blooming dogwood trees internationally. The festival use to be a week long celebration of the dogwoods planted all over Atlanta sponsored by garden clubs, the citizens of Atlanta who loved seeing the beautification of Atlanta. The festival also featured parades, pageants and performances.
