Did you know that it's time to vote?

Early voting begins today, August 17th, in special election runoff to fill late Congressman David Scott's seat. Voters in Georgia's 13th Congressional District in Dekalb, Gwinnett, Henry, Newton, and Rockdale counties are all heading to the polls with Election Day falling on Aug. 25th.

Georgia's 13th Congressional District seat has been vacant since Scott, the longtime congressman, died back in April. The late Congressman Scott's daughter Marcye Scott and former Gwinnett County School Board Chair Dr. Everton Blair were the top two finishers in last election, separated by fewer than 2,000 votes. The winner of the special election runoff heads to Congress until January, finishing out Scott's term. A separate race for the full term is in the midterm election.

Early voting runs through August 21st. For details on where and when you can early vote in each county click the links below.
