The King Center hosted a Day of Remembrance Tuesday for the 55th Anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
There was a wreath-laying ceremony at the crypt of the slain Civil Rights leader and wife Mrs. Coretta Scott King.
The focus was on economic justice during a panel discussion prior to the wreath-laying ceremony. King Center CEO Dr. Bernice A. King was joined by
Dr. Russ Wiggington, president of the National Civil Rights Museum.
It was on April 4, 1968 when Dr. King was assassinated at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, TN.
