As the tax season approaches, United Way of Greater Atlanta is hosting its annual Earned Income Tax Credits Day.
Economy Jackson, United Way's Director of Asset Building, says the virtual event on Friday, January 27, will educate the public on how they can get their earned income tax.
According to Jackson, "We're getting the word out to those who are eligible to file a tax return, even if they don’t owe any tax, to claim their tax credits. It's money workers can use for groceries, rent, utilities, childcare and other bills."
Free tax preparation begins as-early-as tomorrow, Saturday, January 28, at United Way VITA sites. Those seeking more information should go to the United Way of Greater Atlanta website or call the organization's help center by dialing 211.
