The Atlanta Falcons struggled with generating an effective pass rush again in 2022, finishing 31st in the NFL with 21.0 team sacks. This has been a trend for the Dirty Birds for some time. To put things into perspective, if the team could combine its total sacks from the last three seasons (68.0), it would still fall short of the league leading Eagles (70.0). Just last year the Falcons -- as a team -- would've finished third on the individual sack rankings.
But this is the NFL, and things can change in a hurry. The Atlanta Falcons recently hired a new defensive coordinator (Ryan Nielsen) that is known for his ability to develop a defensive line. Additionally, the Falcons have both the cap flexibility and draft capital to make a push in this department.
Jarvis Davis joined the Dopey Millennials on Saturday afternoon to discuss the state of the pass rush and who they could target in the NFL Draft come May.
