Georgia State Representative Donna McLeod is the first Jamaican-American elected to the state legislature. She's hoping to add 'primary winner' to her list of accomplishments following today's election.
McLeod faces incumbent U.S. House members Lucy McBath and Carolyn Bordeaux in the primary. Redistricting turned McBath's 6th Republican-favorable. The 7th, Bordeaux's district, became heavily Democratic. McBath chose to run in the 7th.
