Fulton County Commissioners could soon mandate that county employees be vaccinated against Covid-19. According to Chairman Robb Pitts, his plan would require workers to prove they've been vaccinated or present negative test results every 2 days. "They have a choice", says Pitts, "get vaxed or get axed."

Pitts told Audacy Atlanta's Maria Boynton he will recommend that the county foot the bill.

Pitts says, as the number of cases and deaths continue to increase, he is very optimistic that the majority of the Board of Commissioners will approve mandating that county employees get vaccinated. The lawmakers are expected to address the matter next week.

According to the CDC Fulton County has one of the highest Covid-19 hospitalization rates in Georgia.
