A grand jury sworn in Tuesday in Atlanta will decide if former President Donald Trump and others should face charges in a 2020 election investigation.
Trump is accused of trying to overturn the election when he phoned Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in early 2021. Trump is heard on tape asking Raffensperger to find more than 11,000 votes to help him defeat then-candidate Joe Biden in the race for U.S. President.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has indicated that she expects an indictment to come back in early to mid August.
