The Atlanta Hawks are back at .500 (24-24) and are in Oklahoma City facing one of the NBA's bright young stars in Thunders Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

John and Hugh discuss Trae Young's rise to stardom, how he’s viewed across the NBA nowadays and if he’s been caught and passed by multiple young superstars including SGA.

"There's been a cloud around Trae for a while. It's going to be interesting to see how this All Star Voting goes," says Hugh Douglas.

The last All Star Voting update had Trae Young 5th among Eastern Conference Guards trailing Kyrie Irving, Donovan Mitchell, Jaylen Brown, and James Harden, and he's barely holding off DeMar Derozan.

You got Donovan Mitchell, Ja Morant, some other guys have caught Trae, I think Trae's star is starting to fade," says John Fricke. "What does he have to do to elevate that, does he have to go back to that logo-bombing guy that puts up 40 points a game?"

This season Trae Young has only had two games where he's scored 40 or more points, and just six times has Trae dropped 35+.
