Atlanta Hawks CEO Steve Koonin joined Dukes & Bell for his weekly appearance on the show and talked about the rumors reported about Head Coach Nate McMillan reportedly considering resigning as the team’s coach.

When asked about the reports.

“I thought that was an absolute non-story-story when he was thinking about resigning, I mean come on that was literally trash journalism. I mean come on,” said Koonin.

Koonin talked about the reports being more about reporters trying to cover their bases than facts.

“My response is why doesn’t anybody put their name on it if it’s real? This is made up stuff, I’m literally calling Shams out, ok. He said he’s thinking of resigning but didn’t resign, you know what that’s called? A non-story, and if you’re the reporter what do you want to do, you want to cover your base because if something happens in the next six months he’ll go back to it and say I reported on it December 29th or 30th, I mean come on man. It’s just hack journalism, hack.”
