Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Max Fried looked like he was playoff-ready last night throwing 6 innings on the way to his 8th win , and for Braves fans, they better hope that's the case as he was placed on the 15-day IL and will not pitch again until the NLDS.

For Fried, being placed on the 15-day IL immediately (Friday morning) will allow him to return for Game One of the NLDS as his timeline would allow him to return on October 6th and the Braves postseason won't begin until October 7.

While it hasn't been announced yet if Fried will be the Braves starter in game 1 or Game 2, if he doesn't pitch until Game Two, that would give him two extra days with an off day being scheduled between the two home games.

Blisters aren't a new issue for Max Fried, he's dealt with them since his early days in the Braves organization, and most recently had a start pushed back due to a hot spot on his finger.
