Orlando Arcia left Wednesday night's finale against the Cincinnati Reds after being hit by a pitch on his left wrist by a 98-mph fastball from Hunter Greene.

He took his base and played through the following inning, but was subsequently replaced by Ehire Adrianza ahead of his next at-bat. The X-rays on his wrist were negative, but the team will continue to monitor him.

This injury is only the latest for the Atlanta Braves. The starting lineup has already lost C Travis d'Arnaud (concussion), OF Michael Harris II (lower back strain), LHP Max Fried (strained left hamstring), RHP Raisel Iglesias (right shoulder soreness), and RHP Collin McHugh (right shoulder discomfort).

Arcia was a surprise starter for the Braves on Opening Day and has played well in the early going slashing .333/.400/.511 with two home runs in the early part of the season.

Last season's late-season sensation, Vaughn Grissom, will be the main contender for a call-up if Arcia is to miss any extended period of time. He's currently slashing .351/.442/1.037 with eight runs, 13 hits, a home run, and two stolen basis for triple-A affiliate, the Gwinnett Stripers.
