The three men convicted of chasing and killing Ahmaud Arbery face the possibility of life in prison when they're sentenced Friday. Greg and Travis McMichael and William "Roddie" Bryan were found guilty on November 24, 2021, in the February 2020 slaying of the young black man in Brunswick, GA.

Linda Dunikoski, who lead the prosecution in the murder case against the men, tells Audacy Atlanta's Maria Boynton that after sentencing the defendants will likely file motions for a new trial, which is standard procedure.
Dunikoski, joined by fellow Cobb County prosecutor Paul Camarillo, said they were pleased that the jury understood the law in rendering their guilty verdicts.
Larissa Ollivierre was also part of the team that secured convictions in the case. She was not available for the interview.
The McMichaels and Bryan also face federal hate crimes charges in connection with the death of Ahmaud Arbery.
