The first "official" week of free agency has seen the Falcons being very active in free agency. Atlanta welcomes in safety Jessie Bates, DL David Onyemata, LB Kaden Eliss, QB Taylor Heinicke, LB Tae Davis, while bringing back OT Kaleb McGary, P Bradley Pinion, and FB Keith Smith. The team also signed guard Chris Lindstrom to a big extension.
Even with all of these moves, the Falcons still have about $15-20 million left in cap space. Is there a player you'd like to see this team acquire, or a position addressed as they head into the draft?
This was the question posed by Jon Chuckery this morning on the Steakhouse. "Left guard, inside linebacker, and cornerback" were all places where Chuckery feels like that could still be upgraded. The team let Isaiah Oliver go in free agency. You're going to move an undersized center in Matt Hennessey to guard, where he'd still be undersized. And, while Kaden Elliss can play inside, he flourished more in an outside role last year for the Saints, recording seven sacks.
