The NBA All-Star Game is a star-studded event filled with the best players that the sport has to offer. Yet with only 12 roster spots for the Eastern and Western Conference, there are bound to be snubs. Despite putting up numbers that rank among the elite players in the Association, Trae Young was among those and subsequently left off the roster.

This is naturally an incredibly frustrating moment for Young, but Abe Gordon discussed why this moment could end up being a good thing for the Hawks' star point guard.

The Hawks enjoyed a resurgent second-half the last time that Young was omitted that spurred them to an Eastern Conference Finals run, but it didn't seem to last. Abe discussed why this could spark a more sustainable trajectory for his career.
