Falcons needed to be more committed to run game in loss to Bucs

“What kind of offensive game plan was that,” 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes asked as he and cohost Mike bell began their show with reactions to the Atlanta Falcons 16-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, in a game which Michael Penix Jr. threw four interceptions.

“You saw after the second pick, because he had not one, not two, not three, he had four and you saw after the second pick with Michael [Penix Jr.], he’s a little shaky,” Dukes continued as he explained why he believes the Falcons coaching staff should have been more intent with changing their game plan once Penix Jr. began to struggle on Sunday.

“Why not get on the headset Kevin [Stefanski] and say ‘Tommy [Rees] we need to run the football,’” Dukes continued as he expressed his concern with the Atlanta coaching staff not making the decision to abandon their initial game plan and divert to running the ball more. “Atlanta, I don’t understand this,” Dukes said.
