On Thursday, January 30, two tandem concerts were held in Los Angeles at the Intuit Dome and Kia Forum to benefit victims of the devastating wildfires that recently tore through the city. For those unable to attend, here are some stand-out moments from both events.

When announced, the one-night-only event spread across two venues was billed with scheduled performances from Billie Eilish, Dave Matthews and John Mayer, Olivia Rodrigo, Stevie Wonder, Alanis MorissetteThe Black Crowes, Green DayGwen StefaniJelly RollKaty PerryLady Gaga, P!nk, Red Hot Chili PeppersRod Stewart, Sting, Stevie Nicks, and tons more, but attendees had no idea they were in for a number of incredible reunions and collaborations collaborations as well.

During the show at the Kia Forum, the surviving members of Nirvana (Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and Pat Smear) took the stage for a surprise set fronted by St. Vincent, Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth, and Joan Jett in place of late singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain, performing the classics “Breed,” “School” and “Territorial Pissings.” Finally, the band welcomed Dave Grohl’s daughter, Violet Grohl, on stage to perform “All Apologies.”

Additionally at the Forum, singer Billie Eilish -- who later performed her own set alongside her brother FINNEAS -- was welcomed on stage by one of her favorite bands ever, Green Day. The band and Billie kicked off the night with the 2009 21st Century Breakdown track, “Last Night On Earth," singing “I’m here to honor you, If I lose everything in the fire, I’m sending all my love to you.”

After their set, Green Day welcomed comedian and actor Billy Crystal to the stage who joked, “Our goal is simple tonight, to spend more money than the Dodgers spent on free agents,” before alerting the crowd that Irish rockers U2 had offered the night's first big donation of a million dollars.

Over at the Intuit Dome, Gwen Stefani reunited with her '90s OGs No Doubt, giving fans unable to attend last year's Coachella reunion a reason to skank as they performed three of their classics: “Just a Girl,” “Don’t Speak” and “Spiderwebs.”

“It’s all about love tonight and we love you Los Angeles!” Stefani told the crowd.

Also at the Intuit Dome, perhaps the most recognizable Los Angeleno of all, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, gave the crowd just what they needed -- a speedo handstand of course -- before the group performed their California love songs “Dani California,” “Californication” and “Under the Bridge.”

Fans across the globe were able to watch and make contributions to the cause as FireAid was broadcast and streamed live on Apple Music and the Apple TV app, Max, KTLA+, Netflix, Paramount+, Prime Video, SoundCloud, Veeps, YouTube, and more as well as at select AMC Theatre locations.
