The Patriots have postponed their media availabilities for a second straight day Wednesday as they prepare to face a Bills still reeling from safety Damar Hamlin's hospitalization Monday night.

The Patriots originally planned to make head coach Bill Belichick and captains Mac Jones, Devin McCourty, Matthew Slater and David Andrews available on Wednesday, but said in an email that the NFL "has approved giving both the Buffalo Bills and the New England Patriots an extra day due to these unique circumstances."
The Patriots also canceled their Tuesday media availabilities with assistant coaches. They say team captains will now be made available on Thursday. The team was still scheduled to practice at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
As of midday Wednesday, Sunday's Patriots-Bills game in Buffalo is still set to be played as scheduled at 1 p.m. The NFL announced on Tuesday that the suspended Bills-Bengals game will not be completed this week and that no decision had been made about possibly playing it after Week 18.
The latest update on Hamlin came Wednesday morning via a friend and business partner who said doctors saw encouraging signs overnight. Hamlin remains in intensive care in critical condition.
