Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley didn't travel to London for the team's Week 5 matchup against the New York Jets "due to a personal matter," per a team press release.

Head coach Arthur Smith addressed the media in his weekly Monday morning presser and was asked about Ridley's status.

"We're taking it day-by-day," said the Falcons coach. "Everybody on this team--there's things that come up, injuries and other things; there's circumstances. So, we'll continue to monitor it all but I don't put a time table on the injuries 'cause you just never know."

So, what's really going on with Ridley?

"There's kind of a weird, mysterious thing going on right now with him and his availability," Andy said. But it only leaves room for speculation right now.

The Falcons traded long-time veteran wide receiver Julio Jones back in June to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a 2022 second-round pick and a 2023 fourth-round pick.

Could we see something similar happen with Ridley prior to the NFL trade deadline on November 2?

"You think people are going to be calling the Falcons about a couple of the players they might have of value on their roster?" Andy asked. "Calvin Ridley might be one of them."

Ridley is in the final year of his rookie contract and will likely be looking for top-end receiver money... maybe?
