    Rachel Kurland

Rachel Kurland is a digital editor for KYW Newsradio.

The Florida native moved to the City of Brotherly Love after earning a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida's College of Journalism and Communications in 2015.

She worked as a staff reporter for the more than 130-year-old Jewish Exponent newspaper in Philadelphia for nearly three years, managing its social media accounts and website along the way.

Kurland has previously written and edited for The Florida Times-Union, the New York Post, City & State PA, and other magazines and online publications. She has been recognized for her work by the Pennsylvania News Media Association and the Society of Professional Journalists. KYW Newsradio won a 2022 Edward R. Murrow Award in the Digital category for online coverage of Hurricane Ida.

She enjoys spending an obscene amount of time trying to pick a TV show or movie to watch on Netflix with her goofy dog, Cam.
