CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Three people have been arrested after someone shot at Chicago Police in Mayfair on the Northwest Side this morning.

This happened overnight, a little after 2:10 a.m.

Chicago Police said officers spotted a car wanted in connection with an earlier incident involving a man with a gun. There are not much more details at this point, but police said when officers approached the vehicle several men or young men got out and ran away.

Police caught one suspect and someone fired shots, not the officers, the department said.

When backup arrived, police caught two other suspects and recovered four guns.

No one was injured and charges are expected in the case.
