LANDOVER, Md. (670 The Score) — The battle of the top two picks in the 2024 NFL Draft is on.
Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is active and will start against the Bears on Sunday. He suffered a ribs injury last Sunday.
Daniels, 23, was the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL Draft after the Bears took quarterback Caleb Williams at No. 1 overall. Daniels has thrown for 1,410 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions in seven games while also rushing for 372 yards and four scores.
Daniels didn't practice on Wednesday or Thursday but took the field Friday and begin working toward playing.
The Bears' inactives are cornerback Kyler Gordon (hamstring), safety Jaquan Brisker (concussion), running back Khalil Herbert, guard Nate Davis, defensive end Dominique Robinson and defensive tackle Zacch Pickens.
The Bears (4-2) and Commanders (5-2) will kick off at 3:25 p.m. CT from Washington's Northwest Stadium.
