Bears select Michigan State offensive lineman Luke Newman in 6th round of NFL Draft

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) — The Bears selected Michigan State offensive lineman Luke Newman at No. 195 overall in the sixth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon.

Newman was a four-year starting tackle at Holy Cross before he transferred to Michigan State for a graduate year in 2024. He shifted to guard with the Spartans. A two-time All-American at the FCS level, Newman earned honorable mention All-Big Ten recognition last season.

Newman is the second offensive lineman whom the Bears added in this draft. Chicago selected Boston College offensive tackle Ozzy Trapilo in the second round.
