NFL mock draft picks 29-32 & Day 2: Bills add another mauler to O-line

By John Healy, Audacy

We are just days away from the Jacksonville Jaguars officially being on the clock for the start of the 2021 NFL Draft.

The Locked On podcast network has teamed up with Audacy for an ultimate mock draft series in which the local podcast hosts provide the pick they think their team will make come draft night.

Each pick has been analyzed by an Audacy NFL expert such as Jason La Canfora or Ross Tucker.

Thus far, the Locked On team has made the first 28 selections of the draft. In our final installment, they will give picks 29-32 of the draft, plus the teams who did not have a first-round draft pick.

29. Green Bay Packers - CB Trevon Moehrig, TCU

Expert analysis, Jason La Canfora:

"Yes, I do believe you’re looking at the best pure, ballhawking, free safety in the draft right here. There’s other guys who are more versatile. There’s other guys who might have a little more size, other guys who might be a little better in the box. But Moehrig is a guy who can play center field. He can also do something that is imperative in today’s game — put him outside, put him in the slot and feel comfortable that he can run with a Kelce, run with a Kittle, help neutralize them. That aspect of modern football and these freak tight ends is not going away. I like his ball skills, I like the way he tracks the ball. I like his physicality.

Yeah, there might be some others who perhaps have a little more upside, but I think if you’re looking at somebody to come in and plug and play who you can feel comfortable putting in at free safety in the NFL, out of this group, which isn’t very good, this is your guy."

30. Buffalo Bills - OT Tevin Jenkins, Oklahoma State

Expert analysis, Sal Capaccio:

"The addition of Tevin Jenkins to the Bills offensive line gives Josh Allen yet another mauler up front that he can look at and say, ‘I have confidence that this guy is going to protect me.’ As we know, Josh Allen loves to be mobile. He loves to run around. He loves to run with the football. Having someone like Tevin Jenkins in front of him gives him more confidence to be able to do that to really expand his game.

"Last year, the Buffalo Bills went through several offensive line combinations because of injuries. They never had John Feliciano mid-way through he season because of an injury then lost Cody Ford, the other guard, midway through the season for the rest of the year. Having a guy like Tevin Jenkins gives Josh a little more comfortability and stability to say, ‘if I lose one of my guys, I got another one to plug right in and keep the train moving.”

31. Baltimore Ravens - OT Liam Eichenberg, Notre Dame

Expert analysis, Jay Binkley:

"Liam Eichenberg, tackle Notre Dame, 6-foo-t6, 310 pounds was a graduate student At Notre Dame tons of starting experience. As a matter of fact, he was second-team All-American behind only Alex Leatherwood of Alabama who won the Outland Trophy. They actually played against each other in the college football playoffs as well. Put it this way – he’s the only tackle in the country with over 400 passing attempts by Ian Book at quarterback; did not allow a sack.

"As a matter of fact, 1,188 snaps have taken place and he hasn’t allowed a sack. You have to go back to Week 5 of 2018 to Liam Eichenberg has allowed a sack. When you look at his pro day, when you look at his comments to his head coach, people are thinking right tackle. Does he have the athleticism to play left tackle? A question mark is his wing span at 79 inches, his arms under 33 inches, that’s the big question of Liam Eichenberg. Will he play on the inside or will he play as a right tackle? Serviceable left tackle? Could happen for Liam Eichenberg."

32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - DE Gregory Rousseau, Miami (Fl.)

Expert analysis, Brian Baldinger:

"Greg Rousseau from the University of Miami is like a lot of edge rushers in this draft — he shows a world of promise and upside without a lot of production. He really only played one year, 2019. Even in 2019, when he had 19.5 tackles for losses and 15.5 sacks, he didn’t start every game for Miami. But, what he did show I saw him line up on the nose, he rushed a lot from the inside over the guard and outside. He makes a lot of plays on hustle and chasing. I think he needs a ton of refinement.

“He’s got tools, though. He’s 6-foot-6 plus. He’s 265 pounds; he’s long lean, he could put on muscle, but he has to learn to rush the passer. Right now he’s just working off his ability – his ability to get off blocks with long arms. I think, if somebody wants to really spend time and develop Greg Rosseau, you might get a really good player in a year or two.”

67. Houston Texans - S Cade Sterns, Texas
