The 2022 ACM Awards are just around the corner and we’re eager to celebrate a night full of big stars, one-of-a-kind performances and prestigious awards. The 57th annual ACM Awards, hosted by Dolly Parton alongside Gabby Barrett and Jimmie Allen will broadcast live from Las Vegas’ Allegiant stadium on March 7 at 8PM ET on Amazon Prime Video.

While it’s sure to be a memorable night for all artists in attendance, the five nominated females in New Female Artist of the Year category have a little extra pep in their step as they hope to solidify their Country music breakthrough. The five artists nominated are Tenille Arts, Priscilla Block, Lily Rose, Caitlyn Smith and Lainey Wilson.

Tenille Arts

After gracing the charts with the presence of her single, “Somebody Like That” for 52 weeks, Tenille Arts finally saw the tune hit the #1 spot in April 2021. The accomplishment marked the first time in Country music history that a #1 song has been performed, produced and written by females. Arts has kept the momentum rolling with her current single “Back Then Right Now” and her latest album, Girl to Girl.
Priscilla Block

This Raleigh, NC, native rose to fame during 2020 through her creative use of TikTok which gained her a highly loyal fan base and a record deal with songs like, “Just About Over You.” She released her debut album, Welcome to the Block Party on February 11 and is currently promoting her new single, “My Bar.”
Lily Rose

Rose stopped Country fans in their tracks with her debut single, “Villain,” which showcased her honesty and talent as musician. The Georgia native’s debut single left fans wanting more and that’s exactly what they got as Rose followed up with the release of, Stronger Than I Am, a seven song project that embodies everything Rose is about.
Caitlyn Smith

While a new artist nominee, Caitlyn Smith is no stranger to the Country music format. She gained new attention as she was joined by Old Dominion on her song “I Can’t” which featured Smith’s talent that has been there all along. In 2020, Smith released her second project, Supernova, and is currently promoting her new single, “High.”
Lainey Wilson

Lainey Wilson blew fans away with her spunk and talent as she rose to fame with her debut single, “Things A Man Oughta Know,” which hit #1 in September 2021. The Louisiana native has proved unstoppable since with the release of her debut album, Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’ which showcases her one-of-a-kind “bell-bottom” styled Country.
