Cole Swindell is grieving the loss of his Mother, Betty Carol Rainey.

The 38-year-old took to Instagram Monday night to inform fans by posting a photo of the sky from the window of his airplane ride back home to Georgia.
“Lost my sweet Mom today,” Cole captioned the photo. “I know she’s up there. Gonna miss her so much. Love y’all.”
The passing of Swindell’s Mom comes eight years after Cole unexpectedly lost his Father. The reason for her death has not been revealed.
Swindell is slated to open Thomas Rhett’s Center Point Road tour beginning September 16 and running through the fall. No word yet on whether or not Cole will delay his appearance on the tour.
