It didn't take long for Julian Edelman to figure out what he's doing next.

One week after announcing his retirement from the NFL, the longtime Patriots receiver announced on Wednesday that his Coast Productions, which he launched in 2019 with Assaf Swissa, is teaming up with ViacomCBS to "make movies, shows and docs on networks like Showtime, Nickelodeon and Paramount+."

As part of the deal, Edelman will also be joining "Inside The NFL" as an analyst. The Emmy Award-winning series is set to move from Showtime to Paramount+ this NFL season and also features James Brown, Phil Simms, Brandon Marshall, Michael Irvin and Ray Lewis.

Edelman and Coast Productions previously teamed up with ViacomCBS for the Showtime documentary "100%: Julian Edelman," which chronicled his season-ending knee injury in 2017, his comeback, and then his PED suspension and Super Bowl MVP campaign in 2018.

"I’ve always been a fan of Inside the NFL, and the different way they have shown football, from the cinematography to the slow highlights, and the all-star cast they’ve had," Edelman told Deadline. "It’ll just be fun to share what’s on my mind, but those guys have been in the TV world for over a decade.

"...I feel blessed, and to be able to use the platform and success I’ve had on the football field to help me translate into my next career and rest of my life. That starts with this collaboration with Viacom, Paramount+, Showtime and the other divisions of the company."
